This past weekend was one of those perfectly sunny spring days that make you fall in love with the season all over again. The kind of day that calls for a slow coffee, an open-air shopping stroll, and a breezy outfit that makes you feel like the main character in a European fashion film.
I headed out in search of some butter yellow staples for my spring wardrobe—because yes, butter yellow is having a serious moment this season. From runways to high street racks, it’s popping up everywhere and I am here for it. It’s soft, feminine, and brings instant warmth to any look.
After some successful shopping (I’ll share my finds soon!), my husband snapped a few candid shots of me that captured the mood of the day so beautifully, I had to turn them into a full post.
Let’s talk about this look.
The Look: Spring Romance in Motion
My dress is a ruffled, dotted, semi-sheer dream in the prettiest off-white butter hue. The delicate flower embroidery and polka dot texture add just the right amount of interest. It’s cinched at the waist, with floaty asymmetric sleeves that bring drama without overwhelming the silhouette.
This piece is heavily inspired by Chloé’s latest dreamy collection, which has been serving ethereal, wearable elegance in soft, airy fabrics. But unlike Chloé’s runway price tags, this look is totally achievable on a budget (I’ll link similar pieces below!).

The Accessories
To keep things tonal and chic, I styled the look with these creamy knee-high boots—modern, sleek, and surprisingly comfy for a day of walking. And let’s take a second to appreciate this gorgeous olive green tote bag. It’s a perfect dupe for the Demellier London New York tote, but at a fraction of the price. The structure, the gold-tone clasp, the size—it’s giving luxury without the guilt.
Oversized sunglasses and gold statement earrings finished off the outfit, adding a little touch of glam to an otherwise soft, romantic ensemble.

The Day Itself
After shopping, we wandered around the outdoor shopping center, sipped something cool, and just soaked in the sun. The photos were completely spontaneous—just my hubby capturing a few sweet moments before we headed home.
